LexSelect Technologies Inc. (“LexSelect”, “we”, or “us”) values and respects your privacy. Through its AI-powered platform (the “Platform”), LexSelect offers a document parsing service whereby users (e.g., legal professionals) upload legal documents (e.g., transcripts, affidavits, contacts, pleadings, etc.) and then users can extract text and data to integrate into their daily workflows. (the “Services”).
1. Collection and Use of Personal Information
When you register for and use the Platform, LexSelect collects and uses your personal information primarily on behalf of and in the course of providing the Services to legal professionals and law firms. When doing so, we are a service provider to legal professionals/law firms, and the legal professionals/law firms remain responsible and in control of any personal information processed via the Services.
In certain limited contexts, we may collect personal information from you on our own behalf, such as in connection with visits to our Website, job applications, and when we send marketing communications.
Information we process on behalf of our customers
- Use of the Platform and Services: To administer the Services, we may process personal information contained in legal documents (e.g., a transcript, affidavit, contact, pleading, etc.) from various legal proceedings that are uploaded to our Platform by our legal professional and law firm customers in order to provide the Services.
We rely on our customers to comply with applicable privacy laws when collecting, using, and disclosing personal information through the Services and in the Platform. Information we process on our own behalf
We collect personal information that you provide directly to us (through our Website, or through other communication channels) as well as information your devices provide to us automatically.
- Register for the Platform: When you register for the Platform, we collect your name, email address, and company. We use this information to administer your account and to create a user login for you that enables you to use our Services.
- Marketing Communications: If you sign up to receive email, SMS and other marketing communications, we will collect your name, email address and phone number in order to send you newsletters, offers, promotions, and other information that may be tailored to your interests and preferences.
